Emma Sanders was a very religious person with strong convictions as evidenced by her many inspirational songs and poems. Those strong convictions are also shown in the following letter she wrote to her grandson Glenn while he was stationed in Texas. It is believed this was one of her last letters. She died just three months after it had been written. Emma was also remembered within the family for her beautiful handwriting as seen in her poem “Memories” and in her letter to Glenn.
