Cortez Cunningham was the second son of William Joseph Cunningham and his first wife Rhoda Frances South. He married Mary E. (?) who died sometime prior to him. He moved to Carthage, Missouri in 1961 and worked as a cook in a local restaurant. He died at the age of 83 and is buried in Oak Hill Cemetery in Carthage, Missouri.
